3rd Hoffmann Speedster Classic Day 2024
In 2024, the 3rd edition of the Hoffmann Speedster Classic Day will take place on June 23. The popular classic car event has been moved forward by two weeks so as not to clash with other events, the European Football Championship and the summer vacations in North Rhine-Westphalia. It's worth a visit, because it's more than just a Beetle meeting in Hattingen. The location of the event is the same as in the two previous years, the grounds of the LWL Museum Henrichshütte, which offers a fantastic and unique backdrop with its relics. This includes the oldest, 55-metre-high blast furnace in the Ruhr region, from whose platform you have a panoramic view of the entire site.
Every participant is welcome with their classic car!
The Hoffmann Speedster Classic Day is an event for fans, friends and drivers of the VW Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Porsche 911/912, VW Bus 1-4, VW Golf 1-3, VW 181, Porsche 356 and all other models. This list does not mean that only VW oldies are welcome. On the contrary, the neighborhood such as Simca, Renault Dauphine 8 and 10, 2 CV, BMW 700, NSU TT up to the USA Classic Car is also welcome. Or backdates from the 911. The vintage feeling is crucial. Nobody has to leave their garage neighbor at home. There is no fixed limit to the year of manufacture - rather a perceived one.
The program
At the heart of the event are vehicle presentations with moderation on the Show & Shine stage. However, the vehicle evaluation will not take place on this stage; the expert jury will evaluate all vehicles on the grounds and award them with winner ribbons. After the Top 20 have been selected, the winners will drive their vehicles to the Show & Shine stage in the afternoon as the grand finale and receive the coveted trophies there.
55 years of the Volkswagen 181 "Kübel"
As part of the Hoffmann Speedster Classic Day on June 23, 2024 at the LWL Museum Henrichshütte Hattingen, we are celebrating the 55th anniversary of the Volkswagen "Kübel" 181 with a large special show on the venerable grounds of the LWL Museum Henrichshütte Hattingen. Many beautiful exhibits - from the original green military Kübel to beach boxes and custom models to high-quality tuning models - will be on display in the special show.
Free car trunk market for private sellers
Once again this year, the Hoffmann-Speedster Classic Days will offer visitors and interested parties the opportunity to offer and sell parts and accessories directly from the trunk. As last year, this offer is free of charge for private sellers with a valid participant ticket.
Dealer mile
There will also be a dealer area at the Hoffmann Speedster Classic Day. Numerous exhibitors, from merchandise dealers to car care dealers and jewelry & accessories stores to various car dealers, will be offering their goods or services here. Here you can find the right accessories for your car, decoration for your home or garage or even your next car. If you want, you can also offer your car for sale.
Food Festival
Nobody has to starve at the Hoffmann Speedster Classic Day. The gastro mile on the will be a big "food festival". There will be burgers, bratwurst creations, freshly made crepes, American soft ice cream and coffee specialties. And, of course, the obligatory drinks trolley will also be on site. The local Henrichs Restaurant will also be offering food and drink in the beer garden at the blast furnace.

9.30 a.m.: Entry of the first participating vehicles
11.00 a.m.: Official opening by the organizers
11:15 a.m.: vehicle presentation all day at the stage

Ticket office prices
Participant tickets are valid per vehicle incl. driver and cost 12 euros. Each additional passenger/co-driver aged 16 and over pays 12 euros. Visitor tickets (without car) from the age of 16 cost 12 euros. Children and young people under the age of 16 accompanied by an adult are admitted free of charge and the ticket price includes admission to the LWL-Museum Henrichshütte (5 euros).
Advance booking prices
Participant tickets per vehicle incl. driver are available in advance for 10 euros. Each additional passenger/co-driver aged 16 and over pays 10 euros in advance. Visitor tickets (without car) from the age of 16 cost 10 euros in advance. Children and young people under the age of 16 accompanied by an adult are admitted free of charge.
